Last week opera mini 4.1 final was launched and this is the most bugless version of of Opera

mini. Opera Mini 4 had a whole bagfull of bugs in it like the same page reloading bug which

caused the same page to reload when you clicked a link on a web page. This bug has been

resolved a lot but it still appears sometimes still.

Opera mini 4.1 beta was released in april which introduced some new features in Opera Mini like downloading and uploading files directly via opera which was a great new feature. Saving the pages

was now made available ,

and the most important feature that is find on page feature which allows you to locate a text on the

webpage easily. But the sad part was that almost all the bugs of opera mini 4 remained in

4.1 beta too. but with the release of 4.1 final many bugs were resolved and some more

features were added like if you download a music file then you will get a small lyric icon

while saving the file which states that the file is a music file. The speed of the Opera

Mini 4.1 is also improved in terms of starting up and closing of the app.

i was using the opera mini 4.1 beta for over a month so i had a huge collection of bookmarks

in the beta version which was a big pain if i had to transfer them manually. So here a

feature of opera mini came handy.

It is the opera link feature.It can be accessed from right at the bottom of the Opera Mini start page with a link titled as syncronize It needs you to sign-up to

opera link feature using your email id which takes less than a minute. So what i did was i

signed up to opera link feature from the opera mini beta 4.1 and all my bookmarks and speed

dial were automatically saved to opera’s server. I did a new installation of opera mini 4.1

Final on my phone without removing the beta version (Note- i didnt overwrote the old

installation on beta opera mini .) and then after the installation completed i started 4.1

final and logged in from there to Opera Link and voila!!! all my bookmarks are restored to the new installation of opera mini 4.1 final .

This opera link feature is also available in opera 9.5 for desktop also which allows syncronizing

of your bookmarks to various devices and its a feature which will be helpful to many .

This feature is also helpful in recovering your lost bookmarks.
