One of the latest offerings among handsets of Tata Indicom is the Huawei C2900i .
Its a very feature rich low end phone which packs in many features of mid range phones too.
Like high speed internet on the phone or Pc connectivity for surfing internet on PC
.This phone has a in built modem which is capable of speeds of upto 153.6kbps upload or download under CDMA 1x network .Its

100 Rs costlier than the C2900 which is the same phone without internet modem. So for 100Rs more c2900i is worth it.This phone

uses opera mini internet browser for surfing the internet and you can surf any site on it.The sad part is you can not

download anything on this phone but while surfing on the PC there is no such limitation.

Internet Connectivity

This phone has a in built modem which is capable of speeds of upto 153.6kbps upload or download under CDMA 1x network .Its

100 Rs(2.5$) costlier than the C2900 which is the same phone without internet modem. So for 100Rs more c2900i is worth it.This phone

uses opera mini internet browser for surfing the internet and you can surf any site on it.The sad part is you can not

download anything on this phone but while surfing on the PC there is no such limitation. It does not support javascript and

audio/video.Playback.Browsing speed and page rendering is simply awesome but the opera mini browser has some bugs which

causes the phone to restart if you are browsing heavy pages like pages full of images for a long time. But its very rare. The

speed is much faster than GPRS and also EDGE on some service providers.Tata indicom charges 99Rs/month for using internet on phone.

Signal Quality

signal quality is good and call quality is also good among the same same price range handsets.I found full signal strength

all the time even though the tower is 4KM away from my house

the display is 128*128 64k colour CSTN display which is very great even the resolution is low and there will be no problem

for reading even the smallest text as the brightness is also great.

Other Features

FM with 20 stations storage.A stereo headset is provided with the phone for FM .The sound clarity is very good but the

earphones lack base.It can also record FM.
It has a voice recorder for voice recording in QCP format

Apparent third-party Wiimote makes its purple debut

Gaming No Comments »

It’s not the first third-party Wiimote we’ve seen, but if the very purple device you see above is what it purports to be, it could well be the very first to actually hit the market, albeit in Europe-only for the time being. Dubbed the “Riimote,” this one comes to us from peripheral maker Snakebyte, which apparently isn’t providing many details on the remote just yet but is promising that it’ll be available in Europe on Feburary 8th for the not-so-bargain price of €39.99 (or just under $60). Those slightly less nostalgic about a certain purple game console than some of us can also rest assured that the controller will also be available in basic black, although it seems you’ll have to stick with the official gear if you want to keep everything coordinated.

Fujifilm’s FinePix S100FS is their “most advanced” consumer model

Tech News 2 Comments »

How does a 14.3x Fujinon manual zoom lens, 8th generation 11 megapixel Super CCD sensor and new RP III processor sounds to you in a consumer camera? That’s what you’ll get next month when the $800 Fujifilm S100FS goes big box. Fujifilm’s “most advanced consumer model” features Dual Image Stabilization (optical image and picture stabilization), up to ISO 6400 sensitivity at 6 megapixels (ISO 10,000 at 3 megapixels), 2.5-inch tilting LCD, 3 megapixel burst mode for a maximum of 50 shots at 7fps, and unique film-simulation modes optimized for portraiture, low-contrast (soft), vibrant colors (Velvia), or general use (Provia). Sounds good, but we’ll have to wait for the reviews to see if there’s any substance to the hype.

iPhone’s 1.1.3 update gets ready for native applications

Cell Phones No Comments »

The well known and respected iPhone hacker Nate True has discovered some very, very interesting information concerning Apple’s latest update, 1.1.3. According to Mr. True, the boys and girls in Cupertino have all but prepped the device’s OS for native applications, altering the functionality of SpringBoard to display additional apps, changing the ownership of applications to a unified “mobile” user, and moving the location of preferences to the accompanying non-root directory. Additionally, SpringBoard now boasts widget support via a class called SBWidgetApplication. All of these technical and seemingly minor details will apparently make it easier for developers to create new applications for the phone, though Nate says they’ll also break existing native apps in the process. All we ask is that developers get those NES and SNES emulators ported quickly and safely to the new system.

Trick to erase undetected cd-rw in windows using linux

Tips and Tricks No Comments »

Some days back my friend’s PC got restarted when he was burning a rewritable cd and then his cd became useless as whenever he inserted the cd on his windows xp system his system got hanged. So an idea came in my mind can we erase the cd using any linux distro???

I had kubuntu installed in my PC so i booted kubuntu and then inserted the disc in the DVD-RW drive. Fortunately kubuntu detected the cd-rw without any problem and i erased the disc using K3B cd burning application which came bundled in kubuntu and voila …. my friend was able to use his cd in windows xp without any problem.

So if ever you face such kind of problem then give linux a try as it will solve your problem for free

Samsung trademarks “SyncPaper” — e-book reader on the way?

Tech News No Comments »

The trademarking sleuths over at Trademork have themselves another doozy. Samsung Electronics just filed a trademark on “SyncPaper” in relation to “electronic ink display devices; computers; MP3 players; mobile telephones; DMB receivers” and more. The “Paper” part of the trademark seems relatively straightforward given that Samsung was showing off a 40-inch E Ink Vizplex display back in May in addition to a bevy of flexible displays over the years. Now if only we could figure out what “Sync” was referring to. A wireless e-book reader like the Kindle perhaps? Samsung — the number 1 CE brand globally — is conspicuously absent from the burgeoning e-book reader market after all. What do you think oh gentle, omniscient reader?

Even before samsung trademarked syncpaper, we had been selling cheap home

CDMA Nokia with EV-DO passes FCC

Cell Phones No Comments »

The Dark Age of Nokia’s CDMA relations may be finally drawing to a close. After a series of forgettable rebranded Pantechs (seriously Nokia, what the crap was up with that?), we were encouraged last year by the introduction of the rather low-end 2135 candybar, an honest-to-goodness Nokia that seemed to indicate Nokia / Qualcomm relations might — might be warming. This device features EV-DO data and Bluetooth, but that’s about all we can gather from the few FCC docs that aren’t protected by the confidentiality clause at the moment; we don’t know who it might be headed for, whether it runs S40 or S60, or any other juicy little bits of information that would make the Nokia faithful on Verizon and Sprint drool.

A nokia cdma network on nokia
phones
is faster than a gsm network. Unlike CDMA networks, GSM used in samsung
phones
, has wider coverage without roaming charges. The mobile phones which use CDMA have
greater advantage over GSM. Now when every house has at least a computer printer and scanner, every
person should have cell phones and pdas
for every purpose. The cell
phone importance
is pretty high since it allows greater efficiency
in the business. The hp printers
are also a must for organizations efficiency.
